Adobe released Artboards feature a couple years ago. It mostly focused on UI designers, letting them iterate fast and stay organized. Each artboard in your Photoshop file is separately exportable and represents a screen in Zeplin.

When you launch Zeplin's Mac app, the Photoshop plugin should be installed automatically. If not, you can install it from Zeplin's menu up top: “Zeplin Photoshop Integration Install Plugin” ☝️ If the plugin still doesn't appear, make sure that the 'Enable Generator' option is selected, from the PS menu Preferences Plug-Ins. Zeplin shows the location of the file containing the screen if you are the same user who exported that screen and using the same machine (computer) used to publish your design. You can directly open the design file in Photoshop by clicking on the file name. Next up: Collaborating with your team Exporting assets from Photoshop.
If you haven’t worked with artboards yet, it’s quite easy to convert groups or arbitrary layers into artboards, by simply right-clicking on the Layers panel and selecting “Artboard from Group…” or “Artboard from Layers…”.
Then when you select any layer inside an artboard (using the selection tool, “V”) the Zeplin panel will display a shiny big button to start the export process.
